New found treasure: The Pearl Cup

Listen up people: The Pearl Cup is officially open & it's time to claim your regular seats because they are filling up fast.

Honestly, I am quite sure that no one would classify me as cool, hip person. However, even a Bougie aspirational such as myself adores the newest java & tea house that Henderson Avenue has to offer. It is named The Pearl Cup after all.

As I walked through the door, I felt as if I had walked into a photo shoot for Domino Magazine (may it rest in peace...). The interior is well designed with a good balance of delicate whites, home inspired woods, and enough steel to keep it on the edge. Is this Southern Mod?

I had some their Divine hot tea. Aptly named. The perky, tattoed barista said that if I enjoyed wine I would love this tea- well, she was right. Laura opted for the Orange Swirl tea. It smelled like someone had dropped a creamsicle in a cup. Yum. Yum... and Yum. The Pearl Cup serves their tea well steeped in a tea pot, so there is plenty to sit & stay a while.

So go ahead & give it a try... Laura & I will be there for our happy hour rendez-vous. We might even let you sit at the cool kids table, too.
