When many of us think of the color Fuchsia, you think of a tweener's bedroom with Be Bop posters taped to the walls. Well, folks, not any more! As a designer that leans more towards more structured and masculine schemes, it's strange that Fuchsia is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors to design with. Maybe because it's so unexpected? Maybe because it's so bold and makes a statement? Bottom line: Fuchsia is fashion forward, exciting, and exudes passion!
My first clue that Fuchsia was not just one of my girly yearnings was when I showed my husband, Kevin, the image of the cabinets above along with another kelly green option for our kitchen. I was sure he'd go for the kelly green. To my surprise, he picked the fuchsia ones! And, believe me, even he is far from effeminate.
Using Fuchsia in your home may require a bit of commitment. But, I think you'll find that it even makes a statement in small accents.
