My last full day in Vail is today (sadness). The Oscar party last night was a success! I have one more night in town, and there are a few good restaurants I want to try. Tough choice. One I try to hit every time I come is Rick & Kelly's. Rickandkellysbistro.com
The website is still under construction, darnit. The food is yummy. Our table was packed with 8 hungry skiers, and while the ribs (so tender they fell off every bone picked up) are definitely worth getting again, the Cheesy Poofs–2 ordered for our table–were reordered, I think twice.
Rick & Kelly's is slightly off the beaten path if you're in Vail, but it's worth the drive over to Edwards to check out. The local hang-out boasts a 2 story, casual chic atmosphere, has a great bar, a beautiful terrace and, occasionally, some great live entertainment. It's in the Edwards town square area, which has several good eateries, some art galleries, a little movie theater, and more mom-and-pop shopping than you can do in a day.
Another recommendation on the menu: Perogies. Yum. I'd love to know if you try it!
